Head up the mountain with the Flying Mozart cable car – what an easy way to start your day of mountain biking in the Alps!

Stoneman Taurista

123 km of thrilling mountain biking in Salzburger Land

360° PANORAMA - Are you looking for a very special bike challenge? Here, in the heart of the Salzburg Alps, the ultimate mountain bike adventure awaits: Stoneman! 123 km long and with an astounding 4,500 metres in altitude difference, this ride takes you past picturesque alpine pastures, sparkling lakes and breathtaking mountain peaks. The "Stoneman Taurista" bike route is designed in three stages and runs from Flachau over the Griessenkareck mountain and through the Bikepark to Wagrain.

  • The trail goes through Altenmarkt-Zauchensee and up to the 1,768 metre-high Rossbrand near Radstadt. An absolutely stunning 360° view over 150 striking alpine peaks including the Dachstein, Bischofsmütze and the Hohe Tauern and Grossglockner, caps the ascent.
  • Heading south, Stoneman Taurista passes the picturesque alpine pastures of the Oberhüttensee at 1,860 metres of altitude - nestled in the beautiful, rugged mountains of the Schladminger and Radstädter Tauern.
  • The Stoneman Taurista challenge also leads through the winter sports Mecca of Obertauern with the 2,110 metre-high Königsanstieg (King's Ascent).
